So, as some (or most) of you may know... today is the 8th of July 2025. And this is a VERY special day. I know what you're probably thinking (always assuming you didn't read the title lol)- "Oh, okay. But what's so special about the eight of Ju-" IT'S THE DAY I CREATED MY 3DSPAINT ACCOUNT!!!
Exactly one year ago, I created an account on the very site I love, not knowing that I'd still be active to this day and would make so many amazing friends and memories!
The History of Amjam
So, when I first created an account on here, I never really used it much. I mainly used it to talk to my friends @Crystal and @CoryDory who I would previously speak to via my 3DS Friend List. After exploring the site a little bit, I had concluded that this site was dead, but I never expected 500 comments welcoming me to the site! What I didn't know at that time was that most people spoke in Groups rather than chatrooms so that lead to me thinking the site was a "barren wasteland". So, let's fast forward to around mid-August.
I was finally starting to become more active on the site. This is evident from the fact that I wrote my first Blog (which was featured by none other than... DRACONID_JO!) on the 10th of August. I finally joined a few Groups and (later) decided to create my own! (I'll explain more about it later.) Anyway, one night- on the 15th of August- I saw that there was a few people in a chatroom so decided to join. There was a new member... TIAISCOOL! So, we spoke a bit and became friends. Little did I know, I'd be making my greatest friend on 3DSPaint! Towards the end of August, I was coming on EVERYDAY and spending HOURS online. I knew many members of the community at this point?
On the 22nd of August, I created a Group- 3DSiPaint. This Group instantly gained a lot of popularity and inspired many people to create their own Groups. For a good while, 3DSiPaint was the most active Group on Paint, thought it is now quite dead
September. An interesting month. The "rebirth" of everyone on Paint's arch nemesis. I won't get into too much detail, but I'm sure anyone who was active in 2024 will remember staying in chatrooms for like 3 hours everyday trying to get rid of a 'certain someone'. Now, I'm not sure about the exact date but on the (I think) 27th of September, I was promoted to Chatmin- my first admin power! I would go on to earn another 3 powers in October (Blogmin, Terminator- R.I.P- and Imagemin).
Okay, so, since I haven't got enough time to write eeevrythiiingggg, I'll fast forward to mid-Novemer. I was gone. I wasn't able to come on for a good SEVEN MONTHS, only popping in every few weeks to tell everyone that I'm not dead. I'm not gonna get into the details of WHY I couldn't come on, but you'll probably know already. But I have now returned and will, soon, be just as active as I was before! (I hope.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading my (reasonably boring) anniversary Blog, and I'm sorry that it isn't very long. I'd make it much longer and detailed if I had more time ;-;
I wanted to end this Blog by thanking all of the AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING people I have met over the last 365 days, and I have 4 words to say.
Thanks for thanking me for featuring your first blog here BTW, although you should also mention here that it was @UwUQueen who asked everyone in the chatroom who'd be the best person to make a chatmin to deal with that “certain someone” who was plaguing the chatrooms at the time, and that there was a vote held in the chatroom at the time, and that literally everyone there voted in favor of you being the one. (That was sort of a precursor to the admin election later on as well, and it proved that democratically elected admins can--and indeed have,in every single case--do an AWESOME job!)
I always make sure to like my own blogs, lol! (I mean, it'd be unfair to myself of I didn't, given that I'm always liking everyone else's blogs, y'know lol?)
