As some of you may know I recently made a blog talking about my rocky relationship with my girlfriend. Unfortunately I knew it was coming to and end soon and ironically it happened the next day. I just wanted to make a follow up blog just to give you guys some insight on how I'm doing. I know a lot of people have been through my same situation and I would like to share my experience going through it. For those who might actually be going through something similar maybe you can take something away from this.


In no way shape or form am I doing this for attention. I don't want readers thinking they're obligated to feel bad for me. I'm simply using blogs as a medium to express myself and share my story.

With that being said, let's begin.


So the last couple of days have had me up and down. There are times where it's so easy for me to push all the emotions and memories toward the back on my mind and forget about it for awhile but if I even get 30 secs to just think it all hits me. I was just ready to find out whether or not there was time to fix my relationship with my girlfriend.

I contacted her and my first question was "Seriously, why are we doing this?". The response I got was somewhat of a dagger but,to be honest, I kind of expected it. She told me she didn't know exactly what she wanted to do but she knew she didn't care anymore. Ouch. I never wanted a human being more than how much I wanted this girl. As you get older you start to change the way you think and you change the things you want out of life and out of people. It was never about the sex with this girl, it wasn't about what she drove or what she wore. And peope, it should never be about sex. Sex should never be the reason why you're with some. Aspects like that are considered a "bonus" that comes with being with someone you share the same love with. I just wanted the little things out this girl. Just seeing her for 30 mins between her college classes was more than enough to make my day.

I went on to ask her what exactly she didn't care about anymore. I was absolutely confused on what that meant. She told me she did care about me still but didn't care about us trying to be together because doesn't see us getting back to where we were earlier in our relationship. I'm still not sure exactly what that even means. It sucks because I know things could have changed. Why couldn't we try and piece things back into place? Who's to say it wouldn't work? I was obvious she didn't care anymore, I could tell weeks before that she didn't. It was one of those situations where you don't want to believe it even those it's self evident that it's happening. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I can't force my love upon someone no matter how bad I wanted it.

That was pretty much my goodbye. I apologized to her for the way things ended. I honestly never thought it would end like this after I felt so confident about everything in the beginning. Believe it or not I thanked her for everything. She motivated me to change things about me that would help me be with her. It was an absolute pleasure to be blessed with someone who made me feel the way I did. She made me realize that I have to break out of my shy shell because I knew if it would help me have confidence. I thank her and God for the experience. I have no hate nor do I hold any grudges toward her, I will always have love for her. Me being who I am will always look for the good in every situation.

If anyone is going through something like this or you may go through it someday in life, just always try to end things on a good note. It makes things so much more easier. I'm sooo not ready to get rid of the pictures of us I have saved. That's seriously so hard because I have so many and they all have a little history behind them. It's gonna be a rough recovery but I know i'll be fine. I'm not the first to go through this and I damn sure won't be the last so I just have to think about it as being part of this great big thing we call Life.

If there's anything I want people to take away from this it's going to be to not be too hard on yourself after a breakup. It's not the end of the world. Take what you learned and try to always bring that to the table in your next relationship. It doesn't matter if you fail 1,000 times before you find the right one because believe me there is someone for everyone out there. And don't always think that after people break up that's the end of the two. There's always a chance of rekindled romance. Maybe this is exactly what God has planned for me, who knows. I've never been the one to shy away from relationships because I'm scared of the samething happening. I'm always willing to take a chance because you never know where it could lead.
