When you Let a Pokemon hold a berry, during battle it'll eat it helping it's HP, and it won't cost you a turn.

Oddly colored pokemon are super rare. There is a 1 in several thousands chance that you will see one. I caught 2...  Goodbye my only friend. Oh, did you think I meant you?

Instead of wasting money on repels, use a black flute or pure incense. Don't have either? Walking reduces the chance of finding a wild pokemon, when you run you attract them.

Select your Pokémon for nature and good IVs, then EV train, if you actually wanna win battles.

F.E.A.R strategy
1.find a pokemon that knows quick attack and endavou, low level recomended
2.Equip a sesh on it
3.Fight a high level pokemon
4 Use endavour first you should both have 1 hp
5 use quick attack.

“EXP. Share” doubles your exp. if your first Pokemon in the team holds it while battling.

If you breed an egg, and one of the parents is holding an everstone, that parent's nature will be passed on.
Try and get a pokemon with it's 2 main IV'S at least at 28+
A pokemon can have 510 EV's, and any one perticular stat maxxes out EV's at 252, and you can have 2 stats maxxes, leaving 6 EV'S left, use these to up another stat, 2 of those are useless because it needs at least 4 to add a point to a stat.

In HG/ SS theres a man in the Battle Tower who can judge your pokemon's IV's
Alakazam has the best Speed/ Sp. Attack combo of all non-ubers

If you use Action Replay it would help. i used it for my old ds lite (using dsi now) but then you can get carried away with it, so when i used it a lot i got bored of the game, if you r desprate, then use it. u can level ur pokemon up easiy with it  $ OooooooO $

Beating Rivals. Catch the following Pokemon depending on your starter so you can have an upper hand.
RB/FRLG:
Bulbasaur - Geodude (Mt. Moon)
Charmander - ?
Squirtile - Spearow or Pidgy (Route 1-4)
RSE:
Treeko - Wingull (Route 103 or 104)
Torchic - Lotad or Seedot (Route 102)
Mudkip - Tallow or Zubat (Tallow: Route 104, Zubat: Granite Cave)
DPPt:
Turtwig - Geodude (Ravaged Path or Oregburgh Gate/Mine)
Chimchar - Shinx or Budew (Shinx: Route 202/203/204, Budew: Route 204)
Piplup - Zubat (Ravaged Path or Oreburgh Gate/Mine)
