Why are figure tags uploaded to 3DSPaint but not DSiPaint?

So, as i'm sure other DSiPaint users have noticed, new figure tags are uploaded to 3dspaint.com but not dsipaint.com. This means that just about any figure tag above 5000 (I can't remember where it was, too lazy to look at my blog about it) will appear as "thumb" and they display a 404 when you attempt to go to it. The image must be viewed on 3dspaint.com.

I'm sure this is well known, but i'd just like to know why this happens.

3DSPaint is better optimized even after the recent updates to DSiPaint.

The 3DS is able to do those things while the DSi cannot.

[image] unfortunately doesn't work in groups.

Also, "FIGURE" doesn't have to be capitalized.

You can use the code with the figure tag's url to display the tag's image so it's viewable on both dsipaint and 3dspaint

But yeah just using something like just displays "thumb." Basically what luis said as to why that is.

Quick answer
Because the 3ds.

It's a 3dspaint only thing because only the 3ds could upload anything back then.

Only as in the only Nintendo console.
It pretty much introduced that to the ds family.

Guess it was never implemented or at least made so the old dsipaint supported those pictures because nobody really cared, it wasn't that important.

Everybody just had a 3ds and or just used 3dspaint.

Still it kinda is like that.
