My 3ds won't connect on Mario Kart 7 but it will connect on everything else. When it finally connects it'll freeze and then I'll have to restart it! My Wii and iPad connects fine to things, and I never dropped my 3ds or anything else with it. I got my 3ds on the release date. When it doesn't connect it says "An error has occurred". Lots of people tried to help but what they told me never worked. Please help!

It is the modem. I had a bad modem and it would connect and play races. But would randomly disconnect after a minute or two.
I got a new modem and it NEVER disconnects.

Huh, okay I may get a new one.

you have? It could be your modem! My iPod/XBOX work really well but I had a lot of problems with my 3DS in regards to wifi connection, I have Netfront modem, I believe.

Actually I forgot how you check, how do you again?

Just check the logo on the box near your computer that has alot of blinking lights and possibly an antenna or two lol

But like Zoey said, it could be your settings/restrictions.

Ah, I really hope what is happening to you doesn't happen to me. I don't want to jinx myself! *knocks on wood*

The Nintendo 3DS is only compatible with b and g band routers. If your router is an n band router (or any other), it will not be able to connect correctly due to incompatibility.

That happened to me for MK on the ds. I think it is because of the security of my internet. We used to have the strictest kind of security on our internet, but once we switched to at&t we decided that we didn't need the strictest kind of security, so we just got the password protected kind of internet. Once we did that, (which this happened recently) I was able to play online games again. So that might be your problem. Not sure. (And sorry if this didn't make sense. I'm a bit loopy. lulz)

I'll check what i have since it is security

Even though it's short, I'll accept it to help you get an answer.

That comment gave me faith in Blogmins.

Anyway, I think I know what you mean... I had that and I couldn't even get a system update without getting an error. But some how my wifi started working! It was random but awesome.

Do you have trouble downloading apps? Or had any at first?

Also what type of modem do
