Quoth lilwayne1556:One more thing for the 3ds it doesnt use js like the dsi does. We cant put js scripts in the url bar anymore so you would have to fix that which i can help you with.

My app is not needed for the 3DS.
You can view MPOs natively.
Just go to the MPO file directly and it works on the 3DS!
For the dsi version

I would like to point out a benefit of this (which I'm sure jsa005 knows) is that you can split the MPO into JPEGs to generate thumbnails. This cuts download time in half for browsing something like a gallery. The 3D Photo Gallery on 3dspaint.com does this then shrinks the image into a thumbnail, cutting download time into about 2%.

I believe this would be possible, but I have no idea how to do this...

An MPO image is two (or more) JPEGs concatenated with special header information for the software viewer to know where one image ends and another begins. These are known as the start-of-image (FFD8 ) and end-of-image ( FFD9 ) markers.

I haven't looked into the JPS format too much, but I believe it's a double-width JPEG with header information that tells the software viewer that the left half and right half should be treated as a stereo pair.

I am on a 3ds to try and see if its 3d, but I can't download the bookmarklet and remembering the url would be a hassle. Even if I could download it, it wouldn't work. Dsiextension stuff does not work on 3ds.

Sorry, I don't have a 3DS, and also, the 3DS doesn't need this, it can view the .MPO files directly.
On a 3DS, a 3D image shows up instead of random garbage without my app!
Go directly to the MPO imagge on a 3DS and it shows.
On the DSi, random garbage.

How will be using it on a DSi or 3DS ? they don't support copy-paste .-.

you need to fix that.

The idea seems promising making the 3D images compatible with the nintendo DSi browser, i will be featuring it just because of that.

You can just remember the URL...
Also, I'm making a bookmarklet, just go to the 3D image, you'll see the garbage, tap my bookmarklet, and it loads it into my app via the image URL!
