There it was. The huge building loomed over me. I spun in a circle, looking at all the new faces. Eight graders rammed past me like bulls chasing after a red cloth. Some of them even grunted. I must have been dreaming. It seemed that it would be scary in a simple way, but I was wrong. This place was definately simple in a scary way. I slapped my forehead with my hand, which gave me weird looks from some children. “Everybody is different!” I wanted to yell, but a sudden impulse said, 'Are you a loonatic?' I am, simply put, I definately am.
Their little beady eyes stared at me. Those rotten rats. We were in a crowd, being accused by our vice principal for something that wasn`t our fault. He spit out all the directions we had to follow, all the demanding rules. Children giggled with there friends. I turned to see not one friend. I turned the other way, and I got a spat, “Please listen,” directed to all of us, but really directed to me. 'Friend alert,' my radar screamed. Maybe this wasn`t so bad. Then I realized it wasn`t the right time to giggle, but later we laughed our heads off. Why? I honestly don`t have the foggiest idea. First period. Wow, social studies. Sha bam! Slam in the nose. Why am I at the circus? Wait, no, only little whispers. Nobody had the foggies to where we were. One or two whispers, but otherwise deadly silence. Gladly nobody had a gas attack, and the teacher, well she looked okay, but how could we be sure? Nobody was listening to every word. Each little guy and gal in that classroom was having mini seizures. I swear I heard a seat clunking a few yards away. I didn`t dare to look, or I might be looked back at. Papers were passed, nervous breakdowns were gladly missed, and the locker conundrum was soon to begin. Note: I wrote this story to show how I`ve gone through middle school. Part 2 is coming soon. Sorry, I ran out of space. Hope you liked it! Please leave comments. Thanks for reading! |
