I stretched, my memories still fresh. I had to go pack to the pack's camp.
"But where is it?" I asked myself.

I stood, and looked around.
I let out a sigh, sitting back down after searching for any sign of where I would know where my pack was.

Finally, I decided to stand and search further.
Sniffing at the air, I was too distracted to notice a protruding tree root.

I let out a yelp as I tripped, falling to the side.
I began to tumble, brambles which hid the steep slope catching in my fur.
I clawed at the thorn branches, hoping that they could stop my falling.
Suddenly, my side hit against something solid, driving the breath out of me.

I lifted my head weakly, to look at a tree growing out of the side of this grassy slope.
I slowly stood up, gingerly shifting my weight on each of my paws to ensure they were fine. As I got to my back right leg, a shocking pain pulsed through my body, and I let out a yelp.
"Well, no need to use that one," I growled bitterly.

Sighing, I decided to set out again.

After crossing the rough terrain, I caught a scent of wolf.
Narrowing my eyes, I decided it smelled familiar.
I began limping towards the faint smell.
The trees slowly thinned out, and after struggling through a thorny tangle of bushes, a couldn't suppress a gasp as it got much brighter.
A large field lay before me, flat and very grassy.
I narrowed my eyes.
Have I seen this meadow before?
I wasn't sure.
I wasn't sure of anything anymore.
I decided to go on ahead into the field.

It didn't take long to plunge back into the forest. But, now, the wolf scents became clearer.
I decided to rest, as my paws were getting sore also.

I didn't sleep.

I got up, stretching and testing my back leg against a tree trunk.
It still hurt exceedingly.
Shaking my fur out, I decided to go on ahead once more.
I had to find my home...

Finally, at last, the scents became stronger, but stale.

I stepped into the clearing.
What was wrong with it?
Yes, the wolves are gone. Not much of a surprise.
It looked so..So different.
The bramble barriers around the camp were stripped away.
The old flat rock leaning against the big tree had fallen over on its side, probably crushing whoever was under it. I shuddered at the thought.
Blood splatters here and there stained the area.
Fur was still caught on some thorn branches.

I narrowed my eyes, sorrow clouding my mind. I turned away clumsily, falling over on my side as my front right leg buckled.
I let out a sigh, staying where I had fallen and closing my eyes.

"Ebony..?"
I looked around, wondering if I imagined the voice. But there was just darkness.
"Ebony!" The voice sounded faintly familiar....

I woke up, looking around until I spotted a sliver-white pelt.
"Blitz!"
