Hey guys, Sylverstone here with a special report of some sort.
I'm sure you guys saw FireMatt12 post about Zac85y sending a threat to him via DSiPlaza. As of now, it is resolved but other DSi sites need to take note of this rather small threat. I'm not making a big deal of it but I can enlighten your minds a bit. Where to begin...... Zac85y was an avid user of DSi-compatible sites, namely the Big 4 (DSiCade, DSiHub, DSiPaint, DSiPlaza). People mistook him as a young user with no actual motives. Zac85y was banned from DSiHub earlier in the year, the offense is not known, but he is permanently banned from here. Zac would also cause a ruckus elsewhere and everyone else would turn a blind eye to him, but would he take it lying down? Nope. July 4, 2010: A warning from the user Spudster about Zac85y's threat to hack DSiRage, a forum service. I will quote his original article (with a few grammatical/spelling touchups): If anyone on here knows a user called zac85y, yes he was a mod but some things went bad. When I logged in, I received a message saying "**** you (sorry for swearing) and you and DSi sites sucks" and then started banning several members. Zac has also done this to DSiBook and DSiCade. I soon tried to warn every Nintendo(DSi)site/forum there was. DSiRage was also got a thread that it was going to be hacked. If anyone sees the username called zac85y, just be careful. A DSiRage user also warned me about him. That user was right, be aware. He acts nice then turns on you. He called a mod something offensive, now that kid has banned his account. There you see a distress call from an avid DSi site user. In the comments below that, he has revealed that he had forewarned DSiPaint but they had banned his account. Another comment, from a moderator of DSiRage, gave more information and I quote: "He can bypass with proxies, and I warned him the fact if, he kept changing his IP, he'll get his Internet permanently disconnected, so now he's sticking to proxies. But since he never uses the computer, we can hack MAC ban. If needed. Or, just set up the MAC ban option. Not hacking, just an idea --Your moderator @ DSiRage, Supermarioarma." So technically, it sounds like Zac85y hacks from the DSi platform itself, which can be debated, but also, it could be possible to block his DSi via the MAC address. Further comments denoted that another user had proven that Zac was using proxies to shield himself and proved it by stating that he hacked different sites as well: DSiDragon, DSiExtensions, DSiTouch, DSiRed, DSi2Play and DSiInvent. Further comments on the article were jagged, and one more comment I caught onto was that saying and I quote: "Yes, I gave DSiBook the virus!" Anyways, shifting to more current events, an unknown person who claims not to be Zac85y (he could be) made a YouTube Channel under the name DSiBook and posted 2 videos: 1 showing a hack of DSiBook and the other, called A MESSAGE TO ALL DSi USERS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpyqKE2NNdM - copy/paste this to watch the video.) The DSiBook hack video shows us the user claiming that he SQL-injecting DSiBook to obtain access to an admin badge/account, then access to the Admin Control Panel and then cracking the password for the banlist. and banning the users in the ShoutBox and also through DSiBook's Private Messaging System. The person who claimed not to be Zac denounces him for being an idiot at hacking and goes on to issue a warning to DSi sites. He listed DSiCade, DSiHub and DSiPaint as the Big 3, and went on to go completely nuts proclaiming to destroy all these sites/forums and rendering the DSi web browser as useless. I couldn't help but chuckle but he sure made it sound convincing to some. I went over the comments to see the author of the warning article go up after him. The user then says and I quote: "@Spuddie95 I just looked at your lame site. It's forumotion which is currently unhackable. I've tried hacking forumotion before. I haven't been able to succeed. I can hack any phpBB forum though." Other people that commented laughed at him for making an arse out of himself and paid no attention. We can learn from those users. They never cared, so can we. I was undaunted and so should you guys. Don't be afraid of this so-called threat. It's best not to fuel his appetite for people to fear him. I don't fear him, neither should you. He is public enemy number one for all DSi sites, even though he may be perma-banned from each of them. Remember that we are all a big community, it doesn't matter what site we frequent. So if you can ignore the threat or at least show no fear to this idiot, then there's no way he can beat us. Anthony, proxies may shield him from a ban but myself and another user (Madness) knows what can stop Zac85y in his tracks. He cannot bypass MAC address bans and that's how the DSi community can stop his impeding threat. This is the third time I've written it. For some reason it keeps disappearing... I'm 99% sure your can't ban MAC addresses. Maybe a /htaccess file could, but PHP can't. More additions... That Flinch55 fellow could have really been Zac85y (due to him blasting us about writing his misdeeds and informing the public), but it could be possible that he has ties to him (remember, I'm just speculating). He tried to spam HubHub and also threatened users to surrender thei accounts to him but thanks to a few users, I was alerted and the lowlife was therefore banned.... PERMANENTLY. Right now, the entire fiasco is cleaned up, so now I expect HubHub to return to normalcy. Thanks to those that sent messages to warn moderators, to those that tried to stop him in HubHub, thanks for trying to stop him, but remember, the Hub team has the power to rid the site of such scum. Well, I first found Dsicade on a random Google search. At first, I was CONSTANTLY, there, well, as do all things, it got old, then I hear about Dsipaint. I come and try it out, at first I thought 'Wow.. Cade is so much better than this sorry excuse for a site'. Then I keep coming back, like drinking a soda you never had before, you try it, to see how it is, then you try again, and yet again, and you begin to like it. Well, I eventually got bored of DsiPaint, then go back to Cade, and the anniversary rolls around, EVERYONE! was clamoring over new things they thought would be added. 2 games was all we got D: , but anyway. I do like Dsipaint better, but without Dsicade, I wouldn't be here 0-0 . I still go on Dsicade, and I'm going to be going more often again.
So think before you diss Dsicade, before you try it, and either keep your lips sealed or not even talk about it, because most of you woudn't be here if it weren't for TWR and Cade. I see you all in the chatrooms on both sites!! Bai! ～Wulf X4rI～ |

Looking at the older posts is like completely chaos. Seriously, twr is superiorly busy. You can't blame that. Thats why he couldn't update the site faster or whatever. HullBreach has much more free time, so he can update his own site. No site is better, nor bad. How about this way: No site comparing to a site. Even if the site has less intresting things in it, but it is much better than no site.
Kevin - Cut it, your going to make a complete arguement againest stupid things. I am not claiming DSiCade or SDK is better... Because I use both sites in an equal amount of time. Also, if DSiCade was never made, I wouldn't be here, typing this comment. Please think of that instead of arguing "DSiCade is better, SDK is better or WHATEVER is better", yet it'll turn up into more conflict. So please stop. |

BTW,FYI, if you were to send one new person to dsicade, and one new person to...well, here, im pretty sure the person here would enjoy it more. i know from personal experience. when i first started at the cade: the admins were rude, the people were rude, and neither ackowlaged that i was there. when i started here: people were very friendly and still are, the admins were great and still are, and people would talk with me and other new guys as well.
so there. thats were i get my opinion from. AND ALSO: we have better layout and chat we have blogs we have a friend system we have REAL member profiles our site is regularly updated so...yeah... |
