Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. She was born when a drop of Uranus' blood, from Kronos' scyth, got into the ocean. When she came to Olympus, all of the boys, except Hephastus, went all over her. Wanting to punish the boys for going crazy over Aphrodite, Hera decided that Aphrodite would mary the one god who did not seem as inerested as the others, Hephastus. She also wanted to punish Hephastus, (they had a shaky mother-son relationship) and she knew Aphrodite would go after another god. Now, even though she is married to Hephastus, Aphrodite is dating Ares.
