I tried going donations-only for the SDK Community for about three years, but revenue was never enough to cover server expenses. Every month ended up costing about $60.00 from my own pocket (after donations, Wii U game sales, app sales, and renting out server space) to keep the SDK Community running. That's not sustainable, so I ended up focusing on other projects to supplement revenue and try covering those costs. This caused a lack in updates to the community.

I am very grateful to everyone who supported the community during the two years. Your contributions did really help, even if costs were not met.

Effective immediately, I am suspending Patreon subscriptions and returning to an ad-supported model on the websites. I am trying to use the least-intrusive ads, so let me know if any of the platforms I'm testing show anything other than simple text or image banners. Please whitelist 3dspaint.com and dsipaint.com in any adblockers you use so that the community can continue running. This will especially be important for the upcoming changes to the Photo Gallery.
