In the ruined, dimly lit church, a boy reads this out to a crowd. Some have their eyes wide, in excitement or in fear. Some were shuddering, as if his voice made the room cold. And some sat grimly, eyes closed, accepting their life as it is. Over.

When he finishes, his yellow eyes stare out, sharp as a hawks, emotionless like a snakes, soulless like a demons. And watches, waiting for someone to be insolent enough to speak before him. Nobody moved an inch, they'd gone through this before.

"Fakno Sindre Meliiv" He says to the crowd. They repeat it back to him, and a smile creeps across his face. "You may go, if you have them, questions can be asked once everyone else has left." He says to them, everyone but one person leaves, a small boy, clearly without his parents, walks towards him.

"W-why is Slaughter so mean?" The boy asks him. "Why does he have to hurt people? Why do we have to like him? Let him?" He looked troubled by what he had heard. The boy didn't like coming here, he knew that, many others didn't either. But it was the only way they could live, be protected. He made it that way.

He sighed. "You poor creature..." His eyes seemed to be empty as he spoke to the kid. "You will come to understand... when you feel true pain, when you truly hate, you will know the answer." His gaze darkened. "Don't make me hate you...

Don't make us hurt you..."
