I am a man of 21 years of age, however I look to be about 27. My current condition is a result of my decisions I made around 16 years old when I decided to join a gang. I felt that I belonged somewhere.
I did so many horrible things....
However I got away with them. Now I live undercover. I live in Boston in a small neighborhood.
Nobody knows my name and I'm okay with knowing that fact.
I tossed another stone into the leafy water, rather than it skipping like I had intended, it has plummeted to the bottom of the lake. It was fall so the trees were becoming rather naked, clothing the ground and lake with their leaves. The air was chilly and crisp, but calming. I took a deep breath, I could get used to this life.... I smiled weakly to myself.
My name is Daniel....Well, my new name is Daniel...I've been living like this since I was 19. It's been a perfect life, after the.....Jarring start. My thoughts broke when I saw movement from the corner of my eye, rustling in the woods. I stood up and looked towards it.
There was nothing there.
This peculiar incident made me a feel a little unsafe to say the least. The once calming breeze felt eerie and unwelcoming. Something was watching me. I begun walking into the woods. My car was parked at the start of the hiking trail that I had ventured out to. It was about a 4 minute walk, however the path seemed longer. The darkness was unnerving now.
My hands began to sweat as I began to get more and more nervous. This was not right at all. I could not shake the feeling that something was there, something evil. I began to run. Faster and faster until I was running full speed, then I heard a voice.
"Please.....Please don't leave me...." A distorted voice echoed.
The shadows in front of me slowly shifted into a large black figure of pure darkness and terror.
Its form was distorted, a grotesque, lanky, monster with small arms with comically large claws andvery sharp human teeth.
"You fool, you've entered my woods, and now you are going to pay!" It yelled.
I bolted down the trail, trying to put distance between me and whatever the heck was chasing me. Eventally I reached my car and turned around. There was nothing but the quiet whisper of wind and swaying trees. I opened the door of my 1969 black camero and got in, putting the key into the ignition and cranking it forcefully.
The drive home was....Thought provoking. I was in shock, still trying to process what had happened. I pulled into the driveway of my medium sized condo and unlocked my front door. I took off my leather jacket and put it gently on my coat rack. I saw something furry run towards me. The sight of my dog made me feel a lot better. The old German Shepard looked up at me with its yellow eyes, smiling up at me. Dogs have always cheered me up, they just seem like no matter what happens in their life, they are almost always teeming with joy. I knelt down and stroked his head and he licked my hand in return. "You wouldn't understand what happened today even if I told you Duncan...Mainly because you are a dog." I reasoned. Duncan barked in agreement begining to scratch himself. Duncan was a pretty old dog, he had started to get back problems a month ago. I know it's the circle of life and all, but I try not to think about his life ticking away. More so thinking about the time I have left with him, making it count. I walked upstairs into my bedroom and laid down, closing my eyes. I didn't bother to take off my black sneakers....I didn't know what tomorrow was going to bring, but it couldn't have been worse than today, right?
.....Right....?

Ah, thanks, it's not the best tho, if you liked it if highly recommend a book called 1984 by George Orwell. It's a historic type deal, I think you'd really like it
