-It was July 17th of 1957, and after the assasination of Teodoro de la Villa, president of Leoland during just a few time, after the first president Rafael de Santa López renounced, three generals taked the power of the country, its loyal soldiers also broke into government and administration buildings, these generals were three brothers, Called Paúl, Raúl and Saúl Gutiérrez, so we call this period as the "Dictatorship of the Gutiérrez Brothers" The presidency was assigned to Paúl, ironically, the dumbest of the three, he was normally a drunk and stupid old man, and also so corrupt, same as all the dictarors in any country, his young brothers Raúl and Saúl were smarter than Paúl, and also they were very elegant despite being dictators, Raúl was assigned as Vice president, and Saúl as the secretary of state, and also, they had a cousin, a sexy but fearsome woman called Erika Roberta Gutiérrez, and she was assigned as the minister of war and one of the most important generals of the army.

But... Why? What was the motivation of this people to take the power of the country? well, the official version afirmed that they just wanted to save the nation from the "dangers of democracy and socialism" (And this affirmation was based on NOTHING, because our country was neither communist or socialist, it was a democratic capitalist country) but you know, this type of affirmations from dictators are just a indirect way to say "Ambition and power".

So, when the coup just happened and the generals were in power, and Paúl came to say his first speech to the public, and not surprisingly, he was drunk, The speech was this one:

"-Dear Leolandians, the leolandian people people people of... Le-... uhmmm... LEOLAND, was in suffering for the socialis-... sst.. threa-"

and he just fainted, hitting hard the floor, he was too drunk to say a speech, so after that, Erika taked the microphone, and she said the speech instead of the "president"

-"PEOPLE OF LEOLAND, YOUR LIBERATION HAS CAME, WE'RE GOING TO MAKE THIS A GREAT NATION, FREE OF THE COMMUNIST THREAT, THE DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM IT'S JUST AN INFILTRATION WAY TO THE COMMUNISM, AND THE COMMIES DESTROY EVERYTHING, YOUR FAMILY, COUNTRY, RELIGION, HOUSE, EVERYTHING... GLORY TO LEOLAND!"

-The people was just confused, some of the people was fearful of the rudeness of this woman, but some others was just gawking at her beauty, they with their gaze lost, as if they were in another galaxy, or i don't know...

-The case is, in the first years of the dictatorship, the opposition was censored, tortured and killed, specially communists and leftist (i don't personally like them too, but that acts was just too cruel even for the communists), Leoland was sanctioned by the international community by the dictatorship abuses, Leoland suffered several commercial blocking and economic sanctions, the country couldn't sell its manufactures in other countries, so the economy fell of in the floors.

This several affected my great grandfather Juan Alfonso Villavicencio, he had a good house and a excellent job in a vehicle factory, but he was fired, because the company didn't had enough money for paying salaries, and also needed to sell his house, because he needed money, but he couldn't, because almost no one had enough money to buy some elegant house, so Juan had a great house, but no money for food or mainteniance, the period between 1957 - 1961 was the worst for the country's economy.

-But we need to remember, it was the Cold War during those years, and the U.S. Saw an opportunity on Leolandian Anti-communist regime, so it turned commercial and military allies (ironically, nobody sanctioned the U.S. Because you know... The Cold War, the politics was a mess and weird thing).

-So, the economy could be good again, but now with the repression and censorship of a Drunk Man, His two rude brothers, and their sexy but cruel cousin.

-But the leolandian people always fight, and never surreder, so in the next years, the fight for freedom starts...
