Ah, January of 1969, it looked that it would be a peaceful year in Leoland, the previous years were years of economical grown and prosperity, but also from political persecutions from political opposition, the Gutiérrez Family reign started to got a very big popularity, despite their authoritarism.
But that same month, on January 19th, a new country gained its independence, The United Provinces of the Islands of Johnesia, this country used to be a British colony, located very near of Leoland (previously a Spanish Territory) but these two powers had a territorial dispute, about an island called by the Spanish like: "Nueva Canarias" and by the British like: "Sugar Coast"
But they always had conflicts for the territory, sometimes it was Spanish, and sometimes it was British, making that in the Island there was both Hispanic and Anglo People. But the UN decolonization plans made both Leoland, and later Johnesia, being independent states.
So Erika Roberta knew about the Johnesian independence, so called her cousins and best generals to an important meeting, and they discuss the following:
Erika: ATTENTION! Ehmr... Welcome to this little but important meeting.
Raúl: I hope this is something important, you interrumped me while i was reading my Playbo- EEH... I SAY... My newspaper *nervous giggle*
Saúl: Hey, Where's Paúl?
*The Door Opened*
Paúl: Hey! Sorry for being late, i was trying to being sober, but resisting the temptation for drinking almost made me crazy
Raúl: Uh... I didn't saw you that sober in many years...
Saúl: Yeah, i agree with my bro
Erika: HEY! NO DISTRACTIONS PLEASE!
Saúl: sorry... *nervous giggle*
Erika: Like i was saying, Johnesia is now an independent country, this is OUR OPPORTUNITY, Now that the powerful and bastard British Empire is gone from here, WE MUST RECONQUER NUEVA CANARIAS
Raúl: But Cousin, Johnesia is an independent country now so, if we attack the Nueva Canarias under Johnesian control, International Community will sanction Leoland for agression of other independent countries.
Erika: Yeah, you're right, so we need a Casus Belli in first place to start the attack
Saúl: I HAD AN IDEA!
Erika: Seriously, whats your idea:
Saúl: We must make a false flag attack, we will sink one of our ships and later blaming Johnesia
Erika: GOOD IDEA!
So the plans started at January 24th, the leolandian warship B.L. Tormenta Negra, to go near Johnesian territorial waters, and here they will make the ship intentionally explode.
But the plans weren't like they waited, because when they were near the zone that they wanted, Johnesian guards commited an error and though the Leolandian ship was into Johnesian waters, so they, knowing the territorial dispute, reacted thinking about this as an invasion attack, so the sargent yelled:
-"FIRE!"
And the cannons at the Security Fort were fired, and the leolandian ship sank
This surprised very much the Gutiérrez, they saw they attempt of False Flag Operation turned accidentally into a real attack, and Johnesian government send a message throught communication line in Johnesian Embassy in Puerto Cristo, who opened just 2 days after the Johnesian Independence:
"OFFICIAL COMMUNICATE OF THE GOVERMENT OF THE UNITED PROVINCES OF THE ISLANDS OF JOHNESIA TO THE LEOLANDIAN REPUBLIC:
Dear Leolandians:
Your military ships penetrated into our waters, we know your plans, do you want to steal from us the Sugar Coast... But we don't fear you, who's your government? a WOMAN IN POWER? WTF IS YOUR COUNTRY? A DRUNK OLD MAN? AND THEIR TWO DUMBASS BROTHERS? Nah, you're just jesters, MOTHERF*CKERS! AND WE ARE BREAKING RELATIONS WITH THIS CURSED COUNTRY RIGHT NOW!

The Leolandian regime received this message, and their minds were like "WTF IS THIS??" and replied with this other message:

Dear government of Johnesia:
We consider funny and stupid your attemp for roast us in your dumbass message, but before roasting you for such stupid and childish message, first let us say:
-The B.L. Tormenta Negra wasn't in Johnesian territorial waters, its true that it was near, but not into your waters, it was still into the Leolandian territorial waters
-You'were the first to attack here, not us
So, talking about your attemp for roasting, i think you're a bunch of stupids, first of all, YES, we have a woman in our government, our great general Erika Roberta, any problem with that? Second, yes, our president Paúl has several alcoholism problems, but its our dear president, and we always are trying to help him, third, its very obvious that you're a
knuckleheads, and a bunch of dumbass and useless people, so in these terms of agressions, we declare the formal state of war.
