At a party where shadows sway,
We met where laughter dared to play,
A chance encounter, sweet and bright,
Underneath the school light.

We danced as if the world was new,
In every step, our hearts spoke true,
The music spun our souls around,
In every beat, a love we found.

We talked of dreams and moonlit skies,
With stars reflected in our eyes,
Laughter echoed, pure and free,
In that moment, you and me.

But seasons change, as they are wont,
And feelings shift like a distant font,
The warmth we shared began to fade,
In time's relentless, silent raid.

The laughter dims, the music slows,
In memories where sorrow grows,
The love that once burned bright and clear,
Is now a shadow, faint and near.

Yet, I still cherish that very night,
Of dancing under soft moonlight,
For in that fleeting, joyous dance,
I glimpsed the beauty of romance.

And though the love we had has gone,
Its echo lingers, softly drawn,
