I hopped over the fence and landed hard, glancing over my shoulder.

"You comin' Soph?" I yelled as Sophie stared at the fence blankly.
"I get the feeling this is going to be a terrible idea...I mean, whoever is here clearly doesn't want us to be here.." Sophie said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I mean, Chad's doing it. He's the most reasonable person here."
I said.
"Chad would jump in a volcano of Victoria told him too."
Sophie shoots back quickly.
"GET THE HELL OVER HERE LOSERS, I FOUND SOMETHING!"
Victoria yelled.
I immediately bolted into the facility and saw what Victoria found.
A human shaped, metallic white pod. With black text on both sides that said "Ellipse".
Suddenly the door swung open and Sophie walked in.
"What did you find?" She asked, looking at the pod curiously.
"Evil tanning bed." Veronica said, staring at it.
Without consulting us, Chad laid down on the pod.
"Hey Veronica, take a picture of this will ya?" Chad asked.

Veronica took out her phone and quickly snapped a photo.
I could tell something was off though. We all knew we weren't supposed to be here. Even Veronica was shaking.
However not as much as Sophie.

"This is a horrible idea...We should probably leav-" Sophie was interrupted by Veronica.
"Ooooh, I found something!"
Veronica chirped happily, flipping through the dusty pages of a old battered notebook.

She cleared her throat and began reading.

"Log 157: Using the Ellipse for what it wasn't intended for is how we're making breakthroughs such as this. Test subject 75 has literally become god. She can create matter from air. We are going to create the better version of the human race."

Chad chuckled.
"What kind of nerd would write shitty Si-fi nonsense such as that?" He choked out between giggles.

"A man who doesn't get a girlfriend in highschool." Veronica shrugged nonchalantly.
All the while a pit was forming in my stomach. I'm starting to believe Sophie at this rate...Maybe shit did happen here...

Then....We heard footsteps. I quickly grabbed Chad and ducked under a desk while Sophie followed. However Veronica....Stayed put...?
"Relax, nobody's here. This place has been abandoned for-"
Suddenly the door was kicked open, I peeked out slightly to look. Two very muscular guards stepped out with assault rifles.
They were wearing some wannabe stormtrooper type outfits.
"FREEZE TRESPASSER!" One of the guards yelled.
"You have one chance to tell me where your friends are or we'll shoot you."
The other one stated coldly.
"Yeah right, like you cospla-"
She was silenced by a bullet piercing her skull, blood bits of her brain splattering onto the wall behind her as a horrible red river began seeping down her forehead.
The guards walked away, now all that could be heard, was the pained final sounds of our dying friend.

It's like they knew we were watching...
