So, as some of you know, I created a Blog a while ago, about possible methods to try and make 3DS/DSiPaint feel more "alive"... and I'm glad to say that both methods were (kind of) successful!
1 week ago, I created a new group named "*-[3DSiPaint]-*", and it makes me SO happy to see it as active as any of the other big groups, especially in 7 DAYS. People talk there daily, more and more members are joining, and people are actually having fun! I'm also trying to make the group connect to the members as much as possible, by adding a Page (for example) where you can find pictures of all the different members' pets, or one where the members can post their artwork, etc. I'm hoping for this group to continue growing and for it to never die!
The Chatrooms are becoming more active, and fast! Everyday, me and a couple of my friends (from Paint/3DS Friend List) go to a chatroom (typically Yoshi), and when we do, more and more people start to join! A few days ago, there was 10 people at a single chatroom, possibly one of the highest amounts in a long time. You wouldn't believe me, but the Chatrooms are actually starting to reach the point where there's MORE THAN ONE active chatroom (but rarely)! And with Member Appreciation Day coming up on the 15th of September, I'm sure we'll see a TON of people there!
The thing is, these are only TWO of the many things that need to be revived on Paint for it to feel truly alive. For example, Blogs aren't exactly DEAD, but now there's around 1-2 blogs every few days, and I'm sure that they weren't this dead before. There isn't much we can do for Blogs, since not everyone likes writing, but I suppose that if there was some sort of weekly writing assignment (e.g, "Write a Blog about your favourite video game, and explain why you like it.", people could start posting more of them (but I guess that's basically just homework all over again, and no one likes homework... or Paintwork). If I do ever consider this, I'll probably create a Group Page for it on the "*-[3DSiPaint]-*" group, along with a Blog explaining further about it.
Anyway, thanks a lot for reading this Blog, and please let me know if I got too carried away with these ideas!
