People are talking about how bad 3ds Minecraft is and how it never should have exsisted. I purchased the game and beat it 3 times. I will now give you my reviews:
CONS:
-Graphics are not very good but aren't bad.
-Outdated
-To look around you use that weird nub in the top right of the bottom half of the 3ds
-Costs a bit
PROS:
-It is outdated to the point where you don't have to face stupid updates Mojang added
-Has old nostalic Minecraft music
-Has the old Holiday Mash-Up 2015 pack and some skins that are now lost
-Has free multiplayer
-Has a duplicating glith with any 3 stackible items [I will tell you guys later]
-Has instructions from Mojang on how to play.
-Includes deleted blocks [like coarse dirt]
Considering all of this, I think it was worth the 40 dollars I paid. Furthermore, I suggest you get it with your 3ds.
Some mentions before I make a pro/con of Java and Bedrock on PC:
Coarse Dirt does exist in most versions of Minecraft, and commonly spawns. All blocks in the 3DS edition do likely exist in both Bedrock and Java.
The graphics had to be toned down because of the specifications of the Nintendo 3DS, noticeably the render distance.
Latest versions of both Bedrock and Java have tutorials.
All latest versions of Minecraft still have nostalgic music, but there's newer songs mixed in the music/ folder.
If your on mobile or PC, Multiplayer is free regardless.
Otherwise, some points are valid!
This compared to PC Minecraft (I'll compare it to Bedrock and Java to be fair), this targets most versions of Java and latest Bedrock
Both PC versions:
CONS:
-It can be a little confusing to a new time user of a computer
PROS:
-Both games come included in one bundle at $30, which has been to $15 once during the 15 yr anniversary
-You can use true custom skins (.pngs)
-Capes
-Multiplayer is free, because your on PC
Java:
CONS:
-Cross Platform isn't a thing (I'm aware of a workaround, but it requires a mod)
-Sometimes there can be complicated update or update people don't like
-Mods are a pain
-Multiplayer can be hard to set up for new users of a computer
PROS:
-Mods can do all kinds of wacky and cool stuff
-Your playing the original game that keeps being updated throughout the years, which can go back to the Rubydung (rd) versions
-With the right Mods, the game can be insanely smooth and can look pretty
-You always get the newest features before bedrock (usually)
-Can run on Linux, Windows and MacOS
Bedrock:
CONS:
-Mods aren't versatile
-Your console friends may need a online subscription to play with you
-The game can be very buggy, especially with bad internet or the host is very far from you (think USA to Japan)
PROS:
-Easily moddable (on PC and Mobile, you can use .mcaddon files to bypass the need of the marketplace addons!)
-Heavily optimized (for context, I can run 24 chunks on a 2015 iGPU at 60FPS)
-Simple UI
-Built in RTX for RTX cards
-Vibrant Visuals (only in preview, but it's basically shaders built-in, does work on older consoles like the Xbox One, but Nintendo Switch and phones + tablets may struggle havily)
