Joy stood in front of the courtroom desk, mouth open, and completely caught off guard. The lady behind the desk didn't enjoy spilling news like this, to her clients. Unfortunately, she had just told the lady in complete shock, that her husband's license was to be suspended by the next morning.
"B-but, there has to be a way to get you the money. Please, I'll have it payed to you." Joy said, her mood not lifting a bit.
Something had happened to her that morning, that she had not been very happy about. But now, she was being told that her husband's license was going to suspended because he did not pay for a ticket. She was a bit surprised by the news having just come back from a vacation with her and the rest of her family. Her husband had stayed behind and taken another flight to Kenya, when they were coming back, so he could do some things for work. He hadn't payed for it before he left, so now it was the last day to pay for it and he wasn't even in the country.
Joy looked at the big, wooden clock, hanging on a near-by wall, then looked at her wrist watch. The office was about to close, and she didn't have her wallet with her. She looked back to the lady behind the desk, and tried again.
"Can't I just write you a check right now?"
But the lady shook her head, and mentioned something about it needing to be a certified check.
"Maybe you can go to the bank and get them to change it for you?" The lady said.
Joy replied, "I can't do that, I left my wallet at home. And by the time I go and come back, this place would be closed."
"I'm sorry ma'am but there's nothing I can do..."
"Can you please, let me pay it off, tomorrow morning, before you suspend his license?"
The lady shook her head once more. "No, I'm sorry but I can't do that."
Joy stood there, trying to think of what she could possibly do. She decided to give it a try, and quickly go home, and get her wallet. She told the lady behind the desk her decision, and the lady just nodded her head.
Stepping back from the desk, Joy had accidentally bumped into the man behind her. She gave him an apologetic smile, and quickly made her way to her car. The man gave her an 'It's okay' smile, but by then she had already left the building.
Joy did exactly what she said she'd try, and like she thought, the office was closed by the time she got back. She sat in her car thinking of what she should do, worrying that this might cause some problems with her husband in the foreign country that he was going to be staying for the next 4 days. She thought some more and decided to just try again in the morning.

Joy woke up as early as she could, so that she could make it to the Driving Court on time, before they suspended her husband's license. She got into her car, and out of her car at the courtroom, and quickly to the same lady's desk, that she had been the previous day.
But when she got there, and addressed the problem with her husband's license, she was more surprised at the news she got that day, than the day before.
"Oh, ma'am the ticket has already been payed for." The lady said.
Joy's mouth opened in shock, once more. "Oh... Um. How? I didn't pay for it yesterday..."
The lady replied, "Yes but, when you had left, the man behind you had payed for the ticket."
"Which man?" Joy asked.
"The man that was standing right behind you, in line. He payed for the ticket, for you." The lady said with a smile.
Joy was completely surprised, touched, and happy!
"Um, do you have the man's number or address?" She asked.
The lady said, "No I didn't get his address or number, but I do have his name."
This is the story of what really happened to my mom a few days ago. We were all really surprised, and happy, when she came home, and told us what happened. As a Christian family, we all really do believe, that she was touched by an angel. That the man that was behind her in line, and payed for the ticket, was really an angel. We are really thankful to the man, and hope he gets blessed for blessing us.
So I guess the reason why I posted this, was to tell you guys that you should never give up hope. And that, God is always watching over all of us.
