I told you in my last article (On DSiHub) that there was a project titled "The Other Project" using all of Re/net's features. Well I am announcing the site right now: Feedr.
Feedr is a social networking concept built on the idea of Twitter and Facebook. Yeah... Mish-mash the two together and you get this. The whole site runs on Feeds. Feeds are built on by who you want to follow, friend, etc. But that sounds like Twitter...
Here's the deal:
- Feeds can be built by any user, the Feed the user can build allows them to follow certain people without friending them.
- Breaking the previous statement, users who wish to not allow everyone to add them to their Feed can specify otherwise.
- Friends list can allow users to get more in touch with friends... Bringing in ideas of Facebook basically (Just without the privacy issue)
- Feedr will be compatible with most devices. At launch, only for the PC... Then DSi/3DS, then iOS/Android, and then whatever else is requested.
- At launch an experimental feature will launch allowing RSS feeds to be put into a Feed.
