It was a tragic day for us, in the end. When Sonic and Shadow were defeated by Demon Doom, our intelligence officer, Tory the Hero Chao, had sacrificed his life for them. They had revived, beforehand, changing into their Hyper forms through the use of the Super Emeralds, and merging into the superbeing known as Hyper Shadic. Tory said he was going, so that we could live, and at the same time, save Shadic from what seemed like certain death. He went, and when Chaos Wind was unleashed upon Demon Doom, who had unleashed his own ultimate energy, the whole place lit up, and when my eyesight came back, Shadic was there, but Tory and Doom were destroyed.
Shadic came to us and asked what happened. I told him that our intelligence officer saved his neck from Black Doom, which cost him his life. Shadic understood, and decided to do something that was much overdue.
He was going to heal Reach. Reverse the glassing, and make the land as it was before the Covenant attacked. He did so, and we are grateful. For years, we will remember Shadic's part in our struggle against the Black ARMs.
