Hello comrades and readers! If you're reading this you clearly have a want to get promoted and rank up FAST! If you've come here for the knowledge to do so, get prepared.
The following are the most effective boosting methods.
1 - Score Attack
The starting boosting method is one I trust. It's fast and easy. Depending on how many times you play the credits you earn can vary at the end of a match. About 1000-3000. What exactly is this? It's Gruntpocalypes! Located under cooperative, then score attack. This mode is fairly simple. The entire game is you, your DMR, your Magnum, and a whole bunch of grunts! Aim for the head and survive 5 waves to win.
(NOTE: after a while you might notice how you get less and less credits, this is NORMAL. Eventually it will flatten out at roughly 1000.)
2 - Target Locater
This is one of the most popular boosting methods. Pick mission: ONI Sword Base mission start, put a few skulls on, and change difficulty to heroic. As soon as you can start moving head over toward the right. You should see an elite. Skip it, and just keep running. Take a right and head down the road to your right and into the garage-ish thing. After you enter quickly grab the target locater and hide behind one of the pillars in there. Before too long you'll get a checkpoint. As soon as you do turn around and aim the target locater at the ground near the enemies you should have skipped. Every time you will get the maximum kill multipler and an abundance of credits. After you kill them all press start and revert to last checkpoint so you can repeat it.
(I did it about 20 times and 14,000 credits by the time I finished)
(NOTE: If you do this too much you will eventually not get credits at all. I've done it so much I get 0 every time.)
3 - Challenge resetting
This one can get you thousands of credits. HOWEVER, I do not recommend this method. I have heard rumors you can get banned. If by any chance you choose to try this, here's how.
Begin by looking at one of the daily challenges. Try to find one that gives 1500 credits or more and involves the campaign in some way. Let's just say it's "Shootin' and Lootin'." for this challende you need to get 100 campaign kills. So you go to an appropriate mission and kill 99. Now you only need one more kill to get the challenge! Once you have reached the point to where only 1 more kill is needed save and quit. Now you should be in the lobby with 99 campaign kills. resume to your last checkpoint and kill the last enemy. As soon as it says challenge completed, unplug your ethernet cable or wireless adapter. In 6-8 seconds it will say you are disconnected from X-Box Live. Plug in what you just plugged out and you'll notice your challenge is still there! AND you kept the credits from when you completed this before!
(NOTE: I am not responsible if you get banned for this. Attempt at your own risk.)
4 - Firefight Matchmaking
This is the one I use the most, I trust it completely. For this boosting method all you need is an extra controller. Begin by going into the Firefight matchmaking lobby and signing in a guest. Search until 2 more players are found. As soon as the other player's gamertags are visible and the countdown begins for a match, sign out your guest. This will cause the entire party to be separated from you. You are now by yourself! NOW you can get all the kills in any of your favorite gametypes! RocketFight... SniperFight... Pick your game! Now that you can play with no one to hog all the kills you will get bunches of credits! about 1500 everytime.
Those are the best boosting methods known by me.
Here are some questions you might be thinking. And here are the answers.
Q: Do these really work?
A: Duh, you aren't very bright are you?
Q: Will I get banned if I boost?
A: Absolutely not. The only way you might get banned is if you challenge reset.
Q: I'm not getting too many credits, what am I doing wrong?
A: Hmm, you will earn more credits if you manage to get Commendations while you play these.
Oh boy, I forgot something. You're credits for matchmaking will drop majorly as soon as you get some of your matchmaking commendations to silver.. Too bad...
I wouldn't have to boost if Bungie didn't make it so hard to rank up. I'm a Commander grade 1. I have some some armor that you might consider "rare" and hard to obtain.
I have skill, but that doesn't mean I don't want to rank up. Surely someone as "awesome" as yourself would know just playing matchmaking won't get you ranked up very fast. So if you want to rank up fast and show off it's only acceptable you would boost for some time then enter matchmaking again for a bit.
Also, another thing young lad. If I were you I might boost some rank up. And then get back to your matchmaking. At least you'll look as "good" as you are sopposed to be. =P
If you have skill then you wouldnt have to boost now would you =P btw getting two thirds of the team kills WILL make you rank up pretty quickly...trust me, i know =D
Boosting is for no skill noobs, and really doesn`t help your skill in the long run. level up the old fashioned way, by actually getting good at the game.
