When the team returned to HQ, they took a break, then left to go find the next Chaos Emerald.
"Jezzroy... I've been meaning to ask you..." Raxnent began, "What is it about these Soviets that have you so worked up?"
"They poisoned me with these powers, is all I can think of," Jezzroy replied, "But they aren't supposed to be here, either. Something's not right, and I'm gonna crack this case in two."
Shadow decided to change the subject.
"Detective Wolfe, where exactly are we going?" He asked.
"Wherever this Chaos Emerald takes us," Jezzroy said, "If you remember, Chaos Emeralds are good at detecting eachother."
"How will we know when we're close?" Cassie asked.
"You guys ask too many questions!" Jezzroy remarked in amusement, "The Emeralds will glow brighter, of course."
"And I'll find them before you fools do," said a voice behind them. But when they looked, no one was there.
"Oh, well. Let's keep moving," Raxnent said.
"SHADOW!!" A loud, but familiar voice shouted from a distance.
"Great... It's Sonic," Shadow groaned, and a blue blur swooshed into the center of the group.
"What's up?" Sonic said with a grin, "I hear you guys are going on an adventure! I want in!"
