Appendicitis is not fun at all. I once had it. It almost killed me. No joke.

I woke up twice in the middle of the night. My side hurt like hell. I literally crawled out bed and into the bathroom, where I took a bath. When i was in the bath, my side didn't hurt. I thought it was a bruise from my older sister. Very wrong.

In the daylight hours, I pestered my mother about it nonstop. Finally, she told me to show her. There was nothing there. "Oh my God," she said. She immediatly got the phone and called my grandfather to come watch my two little sisters. My mother rushed me to the hospital.

We waited in the ER waiting room for a while with people that weren't even sick. I even heard one person say, "Stop running around! Pretend to be sick!" Finally,they called me in.

They asked me alot of questions. Then, they took me into one of the hospital rooms. The docter had me roll over in the hospital bed. It hurt like crazy.

Lucky for me, they had a T.V. in the hospital room. This happened in the Christmas season of 2008, so Disney still had Brian O' Brian. Man, I loved that show. I remember the doctor saying to my parents that they can drain my appendix, or remove it. He said if thet permormed surgury, there was a 100% chance it would rupture during surgury. No matter what we chose, he said, i would be in the hospital for 7-10 days.

A few hours later, the docter took me into a small room where they put me to sleep. I'm still not sure what happened. The next thing I remember, my mom, dad, and two little sisters are in a room with me. Then the nurse brought me some awesome hospital food. Then there is another gap in my memory. My mom walked me around the hospital. It was extremely hard and painful to walk.

Later that night, thee nurse put me in a wheelchair and took me out to the car. I'm fine now. It's almost as if it didn't happen. Except for 3 permanant reminders. Not scars, incisions. My appendix did not rupture during surgury.
