ok, i'm starting up a brand new mmorpg called Omni Galaxy- However, i have to make a major decision about gameplay... Here are some choices,
1: Strategy RPG: tile-based battle system a-la Final Fantasy Tactics (my favorite game) Slower-but with less lag, areas & Skill required.
2: Fast motion- constant, no pause action. The only reason I'm considering this is to allow a large exploration benefit to the game- the places are huge in #, some might make the cut, some may not. This would also elaborate melee combat- certain kinds of attacks could be chained toghether, more skilled defensive interface-manual aiming etc. HOWEVER, this would take a LOT of time to do, and would send me back even further on time spent (I'm already looking at about a year for the beta.... Yeesh....) anyway, post any ideas- I have an idea bout what I'll do, but I'd like some feedback first. ~Aerostar
