Part 2, WWII. These blogs are to help you remember the lives lost.
"Welcome to France, boys!" an Allied Forces solider shouted. This was a new mission. Instead of capturing Carentan, the Allied Forces attacked Normandy, France. Russia was attacking the Soviet Union. "This mission will be hard!" another solider shouted. Just then, beside the door of the plane, a light came on. "Get ready!" the officer shouted.
The Allied Forces grabbed a hook-type thing attached to a 5 millimetre thick string. "Stand up!" the officer shouted. They stood up. "Hooks up!" the officer commanded. The soliders clicked the hooks onto a steel bar.
"Gear check!" the officer yelled. After a quick 15 seconds, he yelled "Report check!" The soliders said back in order: "Ten okay!" "Nine okay!" "Eight okay!" "Seven okay!" "Six okay!" "Five okay!" "Four okay!" "Three okay!" "Two okay!" "One okay!"
A loudspeaker in the plane said: "30 seconds!" Then, the turrets on the ground started to fire. They were under attack! "Green light! Go! Go! Go!" The Allied Forces jumped out of the plane as the officer said: "Sticks in the wind! Sticks in the wind!"
They pulled their 'chutes(parachutes, the 'chutes makes it more dramatic) and were slowly making their way to the ground.
Luckily, only one plane was shot down. The pilot was not badly injured, but was captured.
