Where I live the school systems believe that we shouldn't be wishing kids a " Merry Christmas" we should be wishing them " Happy Holidays" doesn't sound like a big deal right? Well it is. They are saying that it isnt right to have Christmas parties and wish each other a Merry Christmas because some people aren't Christians. I think that it is very stupid that they would do that. One woman wanted to host A BIG Christmas party for the whole grade at a certain school but they refused to let her do that. I know that some people aren't Christians , but I think that it is stupid that they wont let kids wish each other A Merry Christmas. " If they are a different religion they can just stay home while we do the party" one woman said. I know that sounds kinda mean , but I think that kids should be able to say Merry Christmas to each other and not have someone ruin it for them. I just wanted to share that with you guys. Thanks! =D
Well, I think they shouldn't be forbidden to say "Merry Christmas" to their friends, and if they know other students Religions, say the respective greeting associated w/ it. Very simple explanation. I'm not christian, I'm Atheist, But I know what you mean. When I was in school, we could say whatever [greeting] we wanted. Ironically, our Spanish teacher had us play Dradel.
