I followed my parents to the dining room, where they sat down, gesturing for me to sit across from them. I sat & immediately began my apologies. My father interupted me, We don't want no your apology Isabella, we want your explination' he stated in a loud, booming voice. He was angry, off-the-charts angry. My mother? Her face was just blank, waiting for me to explain. I thought, 'I could lie, tell them I thought I was attracted to her, but I wasn't...then I could just be more careful.' then a thought again, 'No, they're too smart for that tactic, they'll know I'm lying...I have no other choice, I have to tell them the truth.' My father cleared his throat, his way of saying they were waiting, so I took a deep breath, then, with tears streaming down my face, told them in a wavering, terrified voice: 'Mommy, daddy, I'm so sorry, I never asked for this to happen. I never asked for these feelings, & I can't control them. I'm in love with her. The person to whom that note is to, her name is Anaiyah, & I've been dating her for a month.' My father looked, if poosible, even angrier then before. He looked disgusted, livid! My mother...I turned my head slowly toward her, she sat there, her head down. She was crying. There was someone knocking at the door, mydad got up & answered it, I heard him say, quite rudely, 'She's not going anywhere, with anyone!' I got up to see who it was, I was so startled, without thinking I said in a surprised voice, 'Anaiyah!' My father looked at her a moment & said, 'If you ever LOOK at my daughter again, I will break your neck!' Then shut the door in her face. He then pulled me, by the arm, back to the dining room, forcing me to sit back in the chair. He told me that I was not to leave the house, I was not to see her again. He made 'her' sound so dirty. I tried to reason with him, I BEGGED him, He wouldn't budge. I couldn't stand this...my life, it was falling to pieces, what would I do now? without her to keep me up?
