I've been searching up some creepypastas, and I've gotten hooked on ones based on video games. One, however, especially caught my attention; The Lavender Town Suicide Mystery.
Now, I'm sure most of you Pokémaniacs have heard the original Lavender Town theme from the original Red and Blue versions. You may recall it's a very pitchy, beepy theme that is very creepy and slightly disturbing. Well, in the VERY original Red and Blue version [as in, the Japanese ones] had a slightly different theme; in the first version, there were certain tones that were such a high pitch that adults couldn't hear them; only childrn. These tones were in such an orientation thaat they made some children sick; it even drove some to suicide.
Now, we know it was the Lavender Town theme because when the save files of the suicide victims games were checked, none of them made it past Lavender Town. Nintendo later changed the theme to remove the high tones. Now, do I think this is real? The sucides, no, but the song is definitely different from the American version. Do I think it's creepy as hell? Why yes, yes I do.
That's horrible. I have Pokemon Silver and i've been on Lavender Town a million times. And I liked the music. That's really creepy. Even though it's only on Pokemon Red and Blue and not on Silver.
right after i read this i turned on yellow and went to lavender town...its playing as im writing this...yea its kinda creepy also, if kids committed suicide from a game nintendo/gamefreak probably wouldnt be in business anymore
