Haven't written a blog in a while..well, here we go.

What can I say? Cave Story is an action adventure indie game made by Studio Pixel.

For those of you who don't know the term, an indie game is a game made by an inpendant person or team (usually a small team) on their own. These games are usually free and downloadable via the internet but tons are popping up on Wiiware, Dsiware and the iphone/ipod touch.

Cave Story is pretty much the definition of indie game. Any serious indie gamer knows of this game.

And now a basic idea of the story (with minimal spoilers).

Cave Story follows the adventures of a robot boy names Quote. Quote suddenly appears in a dark cave one day with no memories of anything before. While searching this new area he finds a small village of rabbit-like creatures called "Mimiga". Latley the mimiga have been terrorized by someone only known as "The Doctor". The Doctor has been taking the inhabitants of the mimiga village with the help of his minions Balrog and Misery and experimenting on them and making them work. Soon, Quote becomes aware of the ominous red folwers. These red flowers were used in a war between the surface and the mimiga earlier on (this is all happening on a floating island). These red flowers enrage mimiga and make thenm killing machines and the doctor is planning to use these flowers and the captured mimiga to lead an attack on the surface and Quote has to stop him. Eventualy Quote meets allies to help him, he's not alone in this fight...

thats the basic begining story.
