Ok.. So we all know what the past holiday season brought us. Family... Snow... love. And Presents. Presents, which for some, included a DSi. What does this mean? It means more traffic of new users. So allow me to help out a little in educating the newcomers. I don't expect this blog to get featured but I just want to try and help.

Here we go...

Admins- Who are those people with the colorful names in the Chatroom user list? Those, my dear friends, are Administrators. The Moderators of the site. Put in place to monitor every aspect of the site to ensure the safety and comfort of the users. This site is supposed to be child friendly... us admins do our best to make sure it stays that way. Every feature on the site has an admin. Bulletin boards, Profiles, Blogs, Chatrooms, etc. It is a priviledge earned.. not asked for. So please do not ask us how to be admin.

Ban- So you tried to talk in a chatroom and found out you were banned. This means you violated one of the rules of the site OR the chatroom and are being punished for said action. This can be anything from cursing, spamming, fighting, or just being a troll. You can be banned for inappropriate comments left on profiles and anywhere on the site. Admins also ban at their own discretion, which means if they feel the violation deserves a ban without warning, they are entitled to enforce that ban. A usual Admin ban lasts 24 hours.

Bypassing- So you got banned or warned for bypassing... This simply means that you said a curse word that you intentionally misspelled. This includes abbreviations. When you curse in the room it usually looks like this- ****. That means that word is not allowed and you will be warned for it. Now if you retype that same word, with any changes to where it does not become starred... that is bypassing. Again this will receive a warning and/or ban if you persist.

Cybering- Come on.. we all know what this is. Cybering is having "relations" over the internet. Please, we have members as young as 6 on this site. This is supposed to be a place where people can come together and chat about games, and school and life. Cybering is nothing that should be done here. Behavior like this is sickening and uncalled for, on a site created specifically for children. If you do it in the chatrooms, you can and will be banned.

GigiBot- Omg who was that person speaking gibberish? That was GigiBot... and automated bot created by HullBreach, named after his daughter Gabriella, for total randomness and laughs. Gigi is programmed to appear in the chatroom once every 15mins or half hour and say random gibberish and then leave. Good one Hull, we all love Gigi.

HullBot- Ack! You got banned for spam! Spamming is when you post the same thing over and over in the chatrooms. This can be anything from letters, numbers, symbols, smilies and Chuck Norris/Batman/or Mr. T commands. Also repeatedly using CAPS to write your sentences is considered spam. Once is fine if you're acknowledging a friend, or are just simply excited. But constanly using CAPS is spam and you will be warned. HullBot bans last anywhere from 8 to 11 hours.

HullBreach- So who is the guy with the blinking name? That is HullBreach, also know as Daniel Gump. He is the creator of this site and is also an Overlord. He lives in Ohio with his wife SavantInamorata and their daughter Gabriella. Any Overlord has the ability to create Admins when they are needed. This does not mean ask to be one. But if you see Hull in the rooms feel free to greet him.

Instaban- Or an Instan Ban. An Instant Ban is a ban issued without warning. So what qualifies? Cybering, is a no brainer. Also the F word is an instant ban. This is what I was taught. At any point in the chat, if a member uses ANY variation of the F word, ban them on the spot. Misspelling the F word to make it appear in the chatroom is considered a bypass and also qualifies for an instant ban. We all know what word you mean to say.

Overlord- An Overlord is HullBreach and his family. His Wife SavantInamorata, daughter Miss GiGi, Brother Skunkman, and sister in law Mrs. Skunk. All of the Overlords have the ability to create new Admins.

Perma- This is usually reserved for repeat offenders. Someone who repeatedly gets banned for the same thing. This could be cursing. Cybering. Sexually harassing other members. Bullying other members. You get the idea. If you persist to do the same thing over and over, you aren't learning from your past bans. A perma can be issued in that event. Overlords and Terminators (another form of admin) can perma ban. This means you are permanantly banned from the site. A perma can last as long as Hull wants it to last.

SavantBot- You have been banned for ban avoidance. What does this mean? It means your IP was banned, but you're trying trying to use another account to access the chatrooms. When you are banned, so is your IP address. Now if you have another account, also referred to as an alt, and you try to chat with it on that IP, you will be banned. This is called avoiding a ban. Do the right thing, serve out your ban because you wouldn't be banned if you didn't deserve it. SavantBot Bans last 6 hours.

SavantInamorata- HullBreachs wife. Also an Overlord. She is currently expecting her second child and we are all so excited for her. Savant frequents the chats more often than HullBreach himself, So feel free to greet her. We all hope you have a healthy baby, Samantha. Congratulations.

SkunkBot- Oh Noes! You have used a word Skunkbot does not like! This means that you cursed. Simple as that. Certain words are programmed for SkunkBot to block. If you say them you will get warned. You try it again, you will be banned. SkunkBot bans last 4 hours.

SkunkMan- This is another Overlord. Daniel's brother. If you see Skunkman in the room, you better screenshot it. His sightings are rare. Don't lurk Skunky! We all know Skunk likes to lurk. Be careful kiddies!

Warnings- Alright have you seen the red letters popping up in chat?

! They usually look like this !

Those are warnings. No they are not issued by a bot, as some people think. Those alerts are issued by admins to warn someone breaking the rules. One warning is your only shot, depending on the admin. Again admin discretion comes into play here. We aren't REQUIRED to administer warnings. They are optional. But if the rule being broken is mild, a warning will be issued. Problem continues? We will ban.
