Sunrise, sunset
The girl sits by the window
The grey from her heart reflects on the world and it rains
She sheds tears to the rhythm of the rain
She uses the shining blade like lightening
And she slams her door
Like thunder fills empty silence
The sky is red and lightning strikes again
Its hits the earth in a flash
Penetrating the skin like the girl does hers
She looks over the water
Wishing she could swim away from her problems
And so she walks into the oceans forgiving water
She knows she will sink with her problems
But doesn’t care
The water roars there’s a familiar sound
As the salty water fills her mouth
Two arms grab and hold
The pull her back to the gray world from which she comes
But it’s worth it if he’s there
All she can say is I wasn’t going to do it
She was she needed to get away
She had to stay if he was there
There was still rain as the boy touched the sky
The very red sky
The boy was the wind
She was the trees he moved
The storm winds blew through the tree
The girl shivered to her first kiss
His calm words could not help her now
His word spoke as there was lightening
Thunder, the trees shook, and waves roared
Then nothing
It was gone
The boy cried
For he too now saw the gray world
She left it behind
But he understood now.
