One day, the evil genius, Doctor Ivo Robotnik, known by many as the notorious Dr. Eggman, was fuming over his many defeats to the blue blur known as Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Gah! That blue hedgehog ruins everything!" Eggman growled, "And his new friend Mario now helps him on occasion!"
"Maybe you need more powerful allies, doctor," suggested Orbot, a robot that Eggman had with him.
"Of course! I need some powerful allies!" Eggman exclaimed.
"... Brilliant plan, Dr. Eggman!" The robot replied, applauding.
Dr. Eggman went over to his hanger and pulled out a machine.
"What is that, doctor?" Orbot asked.
"It's a time machine I was saving for an occasion such as this," Dr. Eggman replied, "It can go to any time, even alternate timelines!"
"Who are these allies you seek?" Orbot asked.
Dr. Eggman just grinned, "You will have to see when I get back" he said, and dissappeared.
