When Karen entered the house, she thought it was nice. It was bigger than her old one.
The boy went out to turn on the TV. "What should we watch?"
The man handed him his favorite movie.
"Yeah. That might be a good one!"
Karen didn't know who the boy or the man was. She looked everywhere for her brother Brian. She thought she didn't find him.
The boy put the movie in and sat down on the sofa. Karen studied him a little. He had brown hair and blue eyes. He looked taller than Karen. "He kind of looks like Brian," she thought.
A woman appeared nearby. "Want some snacks, Brian?"
Karen jumped up. Brian was in the house.
"What about me?" the boy exclaimed.
"Yeah, what about him?" said the man.
"Okay, but be nice to Buddy, Luke," said the woman.
Karen didn't know who Buddy was. He was the dog in this house.
Which one's Luke and which one's Brian? Karen thought.
"Brian, I'm going to the mall and buy some stuff," said the woman.
"All right," said the man.
Karen paused. "Brian's the man?" Wow. "The last time I saw him was when he was 17!"
"What's Sandy going to buy me?" asked Luke.
"Nothing," replied Brian.
Luke expressed his feelings. "Just because she's not a Preston doesn't mean--"
"Whoa whoa whoa!" exclaimed Karen. "You guys are Prestons?" Luke and Brian didn't hear her. "Well fine then. I'm going to turn off your movie!"
Karen turned off the TV.
"WHAT THE?" Luke was surprised. "Yeah, and this TV is new!"
Brian looked around. "I don't see anyone around here. Not even Sandy."
"Yeah, right." Luke responded.
"I guess I just have to live with these two Prestons," Karen thought. "One of them is my brother and boy does he look older!"
