Are muffins just ugly cupcakes? When I eat cupcakes, its usually on a special occasion, such as the Super Bowl or a birthday party. As for muffins, I eat those whenever I get the chance. Both resemble each other, but there are still a shocking amount of things that make them unique.
Each is held in a cup especially designed for a muffin or cupcake to serve as a home for the delicate bread within. These cups are universal to either because a muffin can be formed to a cupcakes cup and vice versa. Muffins are sometimes eaten at occasional events, but cupcakes are a must for many. If it were up to me, muffins would be alongside the cupcakes, as if they were best friends.
That frosting that everybody adores so much is a special cupcake trait that can't be found on a muffin. Sometimes, the manufacturer, or the one who makes them, will settle little plastic rings on top of every cupcake, leaving them with yet another luring attraction. There are only a few situations in which you may not keep the ring--and one of those situations could easily be your mother having lost her wedding ring in a cupcake. You most likely can tell if it is supposed to be there. The moist, fruity flavor can steal the hearts of many, leaving cupcakes in the dark, preferably with no muffins-gone-bad to keep them company.
The similarities and differences between them are like those between siblings. They look different, but at the same time there is a slight resemblence. Cupcakes would be nothing without their precious frosting, as muffins do well without. Muffins are not just ugly cupcakes. With all that in mind, which would you prefer: Muffins or cupcakes?
