I was ready to attack. Always my eyes were on the biggest one. It was looking eager to pounce. I held my Scythe in front of me. “No way you guys are gonna get me,” I said, arrogantly. “So sure?” said a man's voice. I turned swiftly. I could see he was no man, only sixteen. I knew him, but couldn't get a good look at his clothes. “Geez, how'd I know this bunch was your doing?” I asked, one eyebrow raised. “I dunno, because you're physcic, I guess,” he mumbled. “Yeah, well, you're shadows are no match for me!!” I said. “Attack,” he commanded the shadows. They leaped at me. Oh? At each other, it seemed, all knocking heads. Then forming a giant shadow. “W-Wha...” I stammered. It clawed at me, knocking me into a tree. It knocked all of the wind out of me, considering it was fifteen feet tall at the least. “Ngh...” I grunted. I knew it was over. He would capture me. “Now, you shall cooperate, right?” he said. I nodded. No point in trying to fight back, I'd just lose. “Great... Y'know, you're cute when you're in defeat,” he said. He picked me up and carried me off. “...” I couldn't speak, and I was too tired to struggle. He carried me through the woods. I was getting weaker as we walked. My vision blurrying. My eyelids became heavy. Then, they closed, and I wanted to drift off to sleep, but couldn't. Everything hurt. Even in my exaustion, I could feel his arm, holding me over his shoulder. The boss was going to be angry at me when I got back. How'd I let this guy get me. Of course, Drei was pretty strong. He'd always been that way. The only reason he wanted me was because my boss was enemies with his. He hated having to hurt me to get me to come with him, but I always eventually got away. His footsteps were in rythm with my heartbeat. “Drei,” I mumbled, finally able to speak. “Hm?” he said. “Whatever you do, don't let them kill me in my sleep...” I said. “Never,” he said. I smiled, relaxed, and fell asleep.
