Somber sleep.
Midnight peeps.
And from the tree, the owl peeks.

"Hoot, hoot" to the other it speaks.
And from their hiding spot,
They all peek.
They know the leap between day and night is far.
So they take flight.

Tonight is the owl's night.
To many, this would be a beautiful sight.
They hunt their prey
Until comes the next day.

Then they hide in their trees and they somberly sleep.
On the owl's night to do as they please.
