Several important pieces of news regarding the upcoming remake of the epic Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo 3DS have surfaced due to GDC (Game Developers Conference).
1. Release month confirmed. Satoru Iwata (President of Nintendo) revealed the release date to be sometime in June, which lends some credence to GameStop's listed June 2nd release date for the game.
2. Master Quest version included.
For the uninformed, there was a re-release of Ocarina of Time on the GameCube, which included a different version of the original game, know as the Master Quest. It featured the same plot as the original, but a much harder difficulty level, different dungeon arrangement, and harder enemies earlier in the game. Now that that's over with, it was revealed by a Nintendo representative today that the Master Quest version of the game will be included in this remake, which is great in my opinion; having more play options is always a welcome addition.
Hopefully, this inclusion (in addition to the possibility that they'll add new content, which they've hinted at) should help those who were on the fence about purchasing this game. Here are some new screen shots that were shown as well.
Link fighting the boss of the Forest Temple
Link fighting some Stalfos (I think)
Link riding Epona
Link in a shop
Link and Sheik rocking out to The Minuet of the Forest
That's all the info I've got for you little rascals today. I'll be seeing you guys around!
Yes, it does have a microphone. Otherwise, our fun with the Nintendo 3DS Sound™ app would be reduced expenentially.(for those who dont know how to put music on an SD Card)
