After what seems like forever, the police officer came out, but they came out with both of Isa's parent's handcuffed! I didn't know what was going to happen now, so I turned to my aunt & asked about seeing her. My aunt said she'd go ask a nurse. In the mean time, Crissy & Adria came & I asked them what happened seeing as they'd been in the room. Crissy smiled slyly & Adria said that Isa's parents were charged with 1. Child Endangerment, because they wouldn't allow her out of the house, she'd missed vital Dr's appointments; & 2. Unlawful Imprisonmet: They'd held her against her will, as a punishment. Even going as far as to take her crutches away, she had no way of getting anywhere in case of an emergency. I wondered again, what would happen to her, when she was released from the hospital? I know it'd be a while...but still...Did I save her life, only for her to be taken from me by the state? Crissy saw the worry on my face & assured me, "I'm going to speak to my mother, I know she'll let Isa live with us, she's always thought of Isa as a 2nd daughter." My aunt came out of the room just then, looked at me & nodded. I walked in, ever so slowly, I was so scared of what I would see.
What I saw was Isa hooked up to an I.V., they were giving her blood transfusion, She had a tube down her throat, she wasn't breathing on her own. Her eyes were closed, was she sleeping? My aunt looked at me, I was afraid to ask. The Dr. came in & began, 'Anaiyah' I interrupted him, 'She's ok right Dr.? I can't lose her! Please say she's ok!' The Dr looked at me & said in a soft, empathetic voice 'Anaiyah, we don't know what's going to happen yet, She currently needs a machine to breathe, & we're giving her blood products. She lost a lot of blood. More then what the human body can usually tolerate losing & survive. She's in a coma. At this point, we'll just have to wait & see.' I put my hand on Isa, then lay my head down & cried my eyes out. I was so scared
