First here is what you need: 9 inch pieplate, tablefork, measuring spoons, frying pan, pancake lifter, large plate, table spoon, sieve, 1 large egg, 3 tbsp. milk/water, an eighth of a tsp. of salt, an eighth of a tsp. of vanilla flavoring, 2tsp of margarine, 2-3 french bread (baguette) slices cut 1 inch thick, a sprinkle of icing sugar.
1 break egg into pieplate.Beat with fork. Add milk,salt,vanilla flavoring.Beat with fork to mix.
2 melt margarine into frying pan on medium
3 Dip bread slices 1 at a time into egg mixture coat both sides. Place slices into frying pan. Brown one side.Use pancake lifter to turn slices over. Brown other side. Use lifter to put slices onto large plate.
4 Put a spoonful of sugar into sieve. Shake gentlyover top slices to give light sprinkle. Serves 2.
