Today I purchased a game called Skate 3.
As the title suggests, it involves the use of skateboards.
So, one may say,
"Oh, great. Another dumb skateboarding game. Nothing to it besides flips and tricks."
Well, guess what.
I'd kick that person.
This game has the unique ability to do a huge list of flips and cool grinds, and also the suh-weet styles of running off board, smacking people, pushing around dumpsters, or just crashing into a vending machine.
The other unique thing about the objects is that, unlike the past games in the series, the player can place new objects into the city for challenging or cool situations. You can create awesome rail to bench lines, or place a giant Miracle Whip™ bottle in the middle of traffic.
skate.Park is a new feature in the series that allows the function of making and detailing a unique skate park.
For the first time in the Skate series, you must create a team for your new boarding logo. You unlock customizable players as you progress so you can complete Team Challenges to help advertise your brand.
Smack a dude, and he'll smack you back!
My favorite feature is the newly updated Hall of Meat challenges for Thrasher™ Magazine.
It's fun to hurt yourself!
Skate 3 is also allowing skateboarding anywhere, as the new city you play in promotes it!
I should also mention that Coach Frank, a trainer in the game, is played by Jason Lee! (My Name is Earl, Alvin and the Chipmunks)
Even though this game out a year ago, it still needs some recognition.
Get your bums off the chair and go buy it! Thank me later. XD
