It`s ok to have high self-esteem. It is ok to be confident. It is also ok to be proud. But is it ok to have pride? We all feel allittle pride in ourselves every now and then, like if we complete something hard or even just looking in the mirror after getting dressed in our new clothes. Like I said before it is ok to feel proud. But when that person begins to get consumed in self accomplishment or appearance to the point that they feel they are above others, then their confidence is now a sin. Most people get consumed into pride because of things like, how they look or their skill in something or even just a high social status. I agree and disagree with pride being a sin I feel that it`s ok to like yourself but it is not ok to feel that you are above others or more important than them. I feel that we are all created equal on this earth no matter how different we look, how much money we have or anything like that.PEACE.
The point where pride becomes dangerous is when it passes the threshold of hubris. Cult leaders, power hungry dictators, and others in positions of power can easily be overtaken by excessive pride. Corruption generally comes with those elitists who feel that they know better than the little people.
