As they headed back to camp, Ashjun kept his thoughts to himself. He had no idea what Trevor had gone through, and he thought HIS life was bad. Yeah, Ashjun will never see his parents again, but at least they're ALIVE. Also, he was pretty sure his sister was alive as well. When, they arrived at camp, Yumi met them with smiles, "Hey guys!!! Abby made dinner! It's chicken noodle soup!" The trio stared back at her blankly. "uhhh, ok then, i guess you already ate, more for me!" and she walked away. Feeling bad, Ashjun ran after her (also because he was hungry still). Trevor looked after him, a sad look in his eyes. Bridgit stared at him with her cold, steel blue eyes and sad softly, "They may look like they have no care in the world, but every person carries a burden way too heavy for them." With that she walked off to talk to Mrs. Naughee. Trevor smiled, but didn't take the advice to heart. Bridgit walked over to Mrs. Naughee's tent, opened it and walked in. Inside Mrs. Naughee was pouring herself a cup of tea with a troubled look on her face. "What is it Haylee?" Bridgit asked. "oh, well, Dr. Malone came by again today...he was looking for the recruits. but at the time, i had sent Abby and Yumi off to fetchthe fire wood and you had the boys, so he had left quickly." Bridgit sat down next to her and oured herself some tea, took a sip then put the cup down again. "This worries you because..?" Mrs. Naughee looked at Bridgit with a hard look in her eyes, she spoke in a whisper and what she said chilled Bridgit to the bone, but of course she would never admit it. "He knew their full names and asked for them that way... I don't even know Yumi's last name that well!" Bridgit finished her tea. stood, stretched and walked out, as she was leaving Mrs. Naghee heard a mumble from Bridgit, she couldn't make all of it out, " It's not...war...soon" Meanwhile Yumi was off looking for more firewood. Abby had to watch Ashjun so that he didn't eat all of the soup before anyone else got any so she had been entrusted with the job. As she was looking for fallen down trees, she began to hear muffled conversations nearby. Not wanting to be found, she hid inside a bush. Not knowing it was a rose bush she sat in a bunch of thorns. Trying to keep herself from screaming she hid farther into the bush. Along the path came a man, and a middle-aged lady. They seemed to be arguing about something. The man, Yumi recognized was Dr. Malone, the woman however she did not. She was tall with dark red/brown hair that was put up in a high ponytail. Her eyes seemed to shine red and her teeth were abnormaly white, so much that they shined. She wasa in a black leotard and leggings that didn't do their job that well covering up only a quarter of the woman's thighs. She had long velvet red gloves that seemed to go all the way down to her shoulder and red stiletto heels. To Yumi the outfit was atrocious and was horribly coordinated. The two argued for some time walking slowly down the path. They stopped literally right in front of the bush Yumi was hiding in, and got into a heated staring contest. Or so it seemed because soon after it started the woman stormed away back the way they had came. Dr. Malone sniffed and continued on his way heading towards camp. Yumi, thinking it was safe got out of the bush and ran after him. Dr. Malone turned towards Yumi as she sprinted down the path. "Why hello! I remember you, how have you been? My, aren't you a looker" he exclaimed, winking at Yumi. She blushed and stammered, "I-I'm f-fine, thanks, what brings you here today?" Dr. Malone smiled and bent to Yumi's eye level. "Honestly, I came to see you, since i couldn't forget how pretty you are!" Hooking Yumi by the elbow he walked down the path the direction whence he came. "Let's go on a date, I really want to get to know you." Yumi was taken so fast she didn't even have time to think, all she muttered was, "W-why?" Dr. Malone smiled again and said, "Because I like you, even if I'm much much older than you." he chuckled and kept walking, still holding on to Yumi's elbow.
