Mario Party 2 was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999 in Japan and 2000 for the rest of the world, it was the middle child of the Nintendo 64 Mario Party series which means a sequel soon followed a year later. In my eyes it was the perfect Mario Party at that time for multiplayer fun endless laughs and parties awaited when me, my cousin, and some family members had a hoot when playing Mario Party 2.

Bowser the normal nemesis in average Mario games returns mischievous as ever taking over the land fought for Mario and the gang. One day me and my cousin Kevin decided to play Mario Party 2 we headed over to Western Land, little did we know going to options and keeping the save option on turned out for the worst later on. First it was Kevin's turn he went on to play getting a lot of wins in the mini games while I was always in second for my skill somehow worsen when I'm playing with others, me and him mostly got coins by luckily getting on 2v2 games.

By the time we were half way done Kevin got a lot of coins and stars it was smooth sailing for the time being, he's been avoiding computer boo attacks and duels while I won them at least 1/3 of the time it was difficult keeping up but that soon paved the way for me without my knowing. When we had 1/4 left of the game a computer pressed the Bowser space it allowed Bowser to come to the surface by a game of chance from roulette. When Bowser came from his cryptic underworld he started rampaging through slowly reaching up to Kevin, he thought he was in the clear but he miscalculated since we were so young so we couldn't tell what was awaiting us. Bowser kept charging through with anger as he takes coins and stars, Kevin kicked back and rested while he saw Bowser's time soon declining, it was a matter of time before his precious coins and stars vanish before his eyes. Once the 3rd coin depletion sound effect happened Kevin's ears heard it like it was a bark from a dog chasing after him, he screamed while tapping the reset button, it wouldn't work he rushed to the cartridge and yanked it out. Remember the save feature, before Bowser came he had 2 stars and when Bowser came he had 4 and I 3, he reluctantly got over it as I was now announced winner.
