IMPORTANT Please Read! Respect: It's Not Just A Song!

Note: Before I begin this blog I have a few things to say:

This is a follow up to my blog "Member's Old And New - A Message". I was shocked by the amount of feedback, negative and positive that I recieved.

I'd like to set a few things straight.

I'm not a n00b, I've been here for a long time, and I know people can improve their attitude if they wish. The problem, is that people don't want to behave.

The blog was meant to point out some negative issues happening on the site, that could change, for the better.

Last, I was appalled by the behavior of some members when commenting on a blog that was about that same issue of rudeness, which brings me, to the main point of this blog:

RESPECT -It's not just a song!

You've all heard "treat others the way you wish to be treated".

The problem is, no one ever applies that to their Internet/Social life. Just because this is a website and no one knows your true identity doesn't give you the right to act out of line.

Guys, this site would be so much better if we didn't have pointless arguements that attack various members!

Don't swear, no one likes a foul mouth! This site is rated PG, so kerp it that way!

Don't talk about politics/religion/any other touchy subject like that. I've seen countless fights because one member would not respect another member's beliefs/views on a particular subject.

Don't online date in public chatrooms, keep it to yourself, to respect other members in the chatroom. We ESPECIALLY do not want you cybering, ick! I'm not attacking online dating, though I don't approve of it, I respect people's views and just ask them to keep it out of chat.

And guys, respect of the ADMINS.

These guys got through a lot of insults because some foul mouthed members don't like them. If there were no admins, this site would be terrible! Every possiblerule would be broken over and over.

These guys do a lot for this site, the leasr you can do is give them respect.

You guys are flaming Tycoon for stating his opinion.
When most of you who have a negative outlook on this blog retaliate with your own opinion.

Good God.
It's like debating in a room of Christians and Athiests!
You practically get no where.

The point alot of you seem to be missing is an obvious one.
Let me put it into the common layment terms.

THE SITES GOING TO CRAP BECAUSE OF IGNORENT, SELFISH, AND UN INTELLIGENT PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEXT TO NO BASIC MORALS AND STANDARDS TO LIVE BY AND GIVE PEOPLE NO DECENT AMMOUNT OF RESPECT.

And thank God for that.

The fact is, We all have haters everywhere we go.
Opinions make us unique. And I stand by mine.
Live and learn. In the end, we all die. We all bleed the same color.

People are basically the same.
What separtes us from animals are our morals. Our OPINION.

These are the blogs I truly hate.
Scroll through the BB's and blogs. You can scarcely find a page that doesn't contain one or more blogs blindly preaching the same worn-out, beat-to-death, tired cliché preaching. Do you know how many of these blogs I've seen in the less than a year I've been here? If a blog like this would change anything, it would've changed LONG AGO. It amounts to what is basically self-righteous, preachy spam.

Thank you for stating you opinions on my blog.

While I can't say I agree with all of your comments, I thank you for taking the time to review my blog.

On the website with no rules thing:

Sites have ratings that are given out to them, just like movies.

The more bad content displayed, the higher the rating goes. If there were not rules, this site could have all kinds of obscene material in it and be considered off limits to children.

I doubt any of us want that now.

This is not the same, it is focusing on respect for all.

It was suggested by several members that I should do a blog that focuses on respect for everyone, not just admins, so I did.

I'm not being negative, I'm just showing problems; along with solutions for for said issue(s).

There's a blog like this every week. No change so far. Give it up. You people are so negative. Noobs will ALWAYS exist. It's the law. Just focus on the positive. Look at the glass as half full, not half empty. You won't accomplish anything if you whine and suck-up to admins.

Look, I wrote this blog as a follow up to my last one.

People, once again, this is not complaining, it's addressing an issue.

Icefaller, I'm not complaining, I'm trying to make people aware of what goes on, and see if they will change...

Techno, no, I'm not trying to blame everyone but myself, I think even I could work on this a bit! (ie, my last blog was a bit disrespectful in some member's eyes) I tried to remain more neutral this time.

This blog is meant to be a reminder that you should think twice before disrespecting people...

Hope you guys understand...

I respect people who earn my respect. As an admin is clearly very likely to be respectable, due to having been admin-ified, and will likely earn my respect. I respect admins because they earn it, not because they are admins.

i agree with the "no cybering in chatrooms", but telling everyone to not online date on chatrooms its bad... its like saying: OMGZ DONT ROLEPLAY ON CHATROOMZ!.
