I tried to imagine streams of information flowing through a computer.
What did they look like?
Ships? Motocylces?
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see.
Until One day,
I got in."
These are the opening words to one of Disney's finest creations of the 21st century, TRON: Legacy.
The movie itself is visually stuning, action packed, and full of energy.
A sequel to the oiginal TRON which debuted in the 1980's, Legacy picks up around 30 years after the first movie, with Sam Flynn, the son of the main character of the first movie.
The action packed sequences such as the disk duels, lighcycle battles, and dogfights over the digital sea.
The highlight of the movie is the Lightcycle Sequence. Fantastically done, the cinematography is incredibly impressive, and the sheer energy that the battle creates is amazing.
But what truely makes this movie so spectacular, is the soundtrack.
Composed by the legendary French duo, Daft Punk, and movie music protigy, Hans Zimmer, this soundtrack combines a traditional sound, with a more techo infused sound.
The result is incredible.
Even movie critics who hated the movie, loved the soundtrack. It is truelysome of the best soundtrack music ever created by anyone.
The song that has attracted the most attention is "Derezzed", a song that electrifies it's listeners as they watch a disk duel in the "End Of Line Club" .
The song is incredibly upbeat, electronic, and catchy, like any Daft Punk tune.
In Conclusion,
TRON: Legacy is a masterpiece from Disney, from the amazing visuals, to the action packed fight sequences, to the high energy soundtrack, Legacy can be enjoyed by all.
With two sequels on the way, what more can we expect, to see emerge on "The Grid"?
