Tuesday Morning @ the MacKruthes' Place Alex and the MacKruthes were having breakfast. Carmen was the first MacKruthe that woke up. She was trying to cook eggs. Then Jarrett went down the stairs from his bedroom and went to the living room sofa.
Alex decided to come up to Carmen. "Hey."
"Hi, Alex." said Carmen. "How is it like staying with us?"
"Good." Alex gave her a thumbs up. "You're 19, right? Same with my sister."
Carmen looked at the scrambled eggs she was cooking then looked back at Alex. "Yes, and that's cool," replied Carmen. "What's your sister's name?"
"Grace."
"Oh. That sounds like my brother's name, Grayson."
Alex imagined if his sister was the MacKruthe instead of Carmen. It's like they would switch places one day.
Alex heard footsteps from the stairs. Grayson was coming down.
"Grayson!" Alex called him.
Grayson ran to Alex. "I have a neat trick to show you."
Grayson showed Alex his pencil trick. There were 12 pencils on the top of his hand. He moved it and caught all the pencils quickly.
Alex liked the trick. "That was epic!"
Grayson laughed. "Yeah, do you want to try?"
Alex thought about it for a while then finally replied. "Sure, I guess. Just give me one pencil for now."
Alex tried to do the trick but failed to catch the pencil.
"Nice try," said Grayson. "Keep practicing."
"I had fun with you guys. Now I have to go to the city. Drew and Luke need me back." Alex went out the front door and waved to the MacKruthes.
Grayson, Jarrett, and Carmen waved back and said their goodbyes to Alex.
This part was based on a true event. I stayed at someone else's house in a town to have breakfast. Carmen, in real life, was cooking scrambled eggs. The person who is Grayson in real life showed everyone the pencil trick.
