Hey everyone, this is the second installment of my blog series that covers all my favorite roller coasters! Up now:
TATSU: FLY AT THE SPEED OF FEAR
Location: Six Flags: Magic Mountain
Opened 2006
Tatsu means: Winged Beast, or Dragon
Tatsu. This is one of the few coasters that has actually scared me the first time that I rode it. The ride starts at the top of Samurai Summit, the park's hilltop.
The ride glide and soars of the mountain while you are held in a flying position, in a harness, that keeps you facing towards the grounds. Trust me, this is the closest you'll ever get to actually flying.
The part ofnthe ride that is the most intimidating is the lift:
Facing straight down, nearly 200 feet aboventhe ground is amazing, and petrifying at the same time. The ride's course is mainly graceful twists and spins, but the pretzel loop, has an insane amount of Gs and provides an amazing OH MY (insert appropriate term here) GOD moment for the ride.
Tatsu, flying high, and soaring into my #3 slot of favorite coasters.
Hope you enjoyed this blog! Up next:
She turns you to stone, your only hope, is to face her, but not directly! Take a ride on Medusa!
