Hey everyone, this is my series that I made about my favorite subject, roller coasters! Up next:
DESERT STORM
Location: Castles-n-Coasters, Phoenix Arizona
Opened: 1992
Desert Storm, is quite the oddity of a coaster. To begin, it's location. The ride was literally built over the whole park, and now towers above the entire area. It only has lap bar restrains despite the fact that is has two loops (yay!).
The other oddity of the ride is it's two very bizarre loops:
Loop 1:
The entry to the loop is lower than the exit, resulting in a higher level of Gs during the exit.
Loop 2:
The exit of this loop has a slight curve to it and feels a bit odd when you enter into it, but it's a unique sensation, one I haven't experienced on another coaster.
The rest of the ride's layout is fun, and moderately thrill to most riders. The lift hill is over 100ft tall and exceeds speeds of 50 MPH.
All and all, Deset Storm is a moderately good roller coaster, and the best one in the state of Arizona, seeing as their is only one other coaster located in the entire state!
